Brent Frohoff

Laguna Beach VBC is thrilled to welcome Coach Brent Frohoff back for his 3rd season at Laguna! Known in his playing days for being an incredibly efficient and effective all-around player both indoors and on the beach, Coach Brent strives to help players develop and improve their full skill sets to be the most complete players they can be.

Raised on the beaches of Hermosa and Manhattan Beach, the sport of volleyball has played a major role in Coach Brent's life from a very young age. In the indoor scene, Coach Brent competed at the high school powerhouse program, Mira Costa High School, where he earned 1st Team All-CIF honors as an outside hitter in his senior year. From there he journeyed from San Diego State University to El Camino College (where  he earned 1st Team All-State honors and his accomplishments earned him a place in the California Community College Men's Hall of Fame) to a professional season in Italy and then finally to Loyola Marymount University where he completed his indoor career.

While he saw a great deal of success indoors, it was beach volleyball that hooked Coach Brent. He enjoyed a very notable career on the AVP Tour from 1983-2009. During that time he played in 317 professional tournaments (4th All-Time) and won 18 Titles (20th All-Time). Based on his incredible achievements and reputation amongst those within the beach volleyball community, Coach Brent was named to the California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA) Hall of Fame in 2015.

Most recently, Coach Brent has been coaching both indoor and on the beach. While working with youth players Coach Brent relishes seeing the joy in kids' faces when they realize that they are improving.
