As a product of the LBVBC system, Coach Katy can attest to the large role that the training at Laguna can play in one's success.  A passionate and fiery competitor, Coach Katy works day in and day out to instill the same competitiveness in her players and to train them in the fundamentals that allowed her to obtain success in her playing career.

A true LBVBC alumna, Coach Katy Daly began her playing career at Laguna at the age of nine and continued on through her senior year of high school.  During that time she was a member of two National Championship teams (1998 & 2002), earning recognition as tournament MVP during both campaigns.  Coach Katy played her high school volleyball at San Clemente High School where she helped lead her team to a CIF Title in 2001 and was named CIF Player of the Year.  After her successful club and high school career, Coach Katy went on to play at Pepperdine University (2002-2005).  As an outside hitter she was named to the All-Conference Team for three consecutive years (2003, 2004, 2005) and captained her team in her final year (2005).

While attending Pepperdine University Coach Katy began her club coaching career at Sports Shack Volleyball Club (2004-2007).  Upon earning her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts/Physical Education she returned to South Orange County.  Since returning to LBVBC Coach Katy has consistently led her teams to top 15 finishes in the SCVA Region as well as numerous appearances at the USAV Girls Junior National Championships.

In addition to her Bachelor's Degree, Coach Katy returned to Pepperdine to earn her Master's Degree in Education in 2012.  Currently, Coach Katy is the Head Girls' Varsity Volleyball Coach as well as a health/fitness teacher at Santa Margarita High School. In her time at Santa Margarita she has led the Eagles to a CIF Championship and place in the State Championship Finals (2016) as well as a State Championship (2017).
