Richelle Whiting

Coach Richelle (Richie) Whiting enters her 20th year of coaching club and high school volleyball in the Southern California region. Beginning her career as a developmental coach, she has enjoyed teaching all levels from new volleyball players to highly competitive Junior National teams. As a mother of two daughters, Coach Richie takes great pride in teaching young women skill sets that not only help them on the volleyball court but also in their future endeavors.

Coach Richie has been around the game of volleyball from an early age, starting at 10 years old at Capistrano Beach and then transitioning into club in the sixth grade. She attended Dana Hills High School where she set her team to back-to-back South Coast League Championships. From there she went on to compete at Saddleback College. During her time there Coach Richie led her team to a 2nd place finish in State while garnering First Team All-State honors and earning a spot in the school's Hall of Fame for the highest assist record. Following her successful career at Saddleback College Coach Richie moved on to Concordia University in Irvine.

Coach Richie received her Bachelor's Degree in History from Concordia University. Most recently she was named the Head Varsity Coach at Aliso Niguel High School. She currently resides in Aliso Viejo with her husband Chris (who also coaches at LBVBC) and their 2 daughters, Danet and Marli.
